Two weekends ago, we had the pleasure of shooting Carlos & Darlene's wedding in about 110° heat with plenty of humidity! It didnt matter, we still had a great time and what made things even easier was the bride and groom's great attitude. Darlene is about the nicest, happiest, positive person we've ever met and Carlos totally compliments her. They were both so accomidating and concerned about us dealing with the heat. Thank you both :)

For any photographers out there, you might notice with this post that our "processing" might look a little different. That's because I used some of Jesh de Rox's Colorshift Actions, which I just bought recently. I'll post a review about them soon.....

I'm almost finished with the blog post images for the Rojo's wedding. I feel like I need to post something, so I figured this is a nice little appetizer of an image :)

I like this image for so many reasons. First, the composition is so strong. The giant tree almost looks like another member of the bridal party. The expressions on every body are great, just look at the flower girls. One is hiding her face with her flowers because it was super hot and she was tired, the other is looking at Carlos and Darlene kiss and she's so amused by it. The bridesmaid way on the left is looking somewhere else, most likely confused as to what I was doing (I was practically laying down on the dirty curb). The bridal party on the right side of the bride and groom seem to be thinking "when are we done with this weird photographer's ideas?". And last but not least, the bride and groom are not caring as to what is going on, they are busy kissing and being in love. And that's what it's all about, right?

Besides all the above mentioned items, I really really like when we are able to capture a strong, amazing image in the middle of nowhere.

Lots and lots and lots of color. That's what I always try to hint to our brides. Although all weddings can be amazing and beautiful in their own way, it is always so striking to work with weddings that are so full of vivid colors. I love it.

Last weekend we photographed a really small, intimate ceremony for a family friend. It turned out to be the hottest day of the year and we forgot to put sunblock on :(

The sprinkling of colorful arrangements at the ceremony was just what we needed to forget that we were working in 95degree heat and there wasn't too much shade. Here's a quick layout of some of the flower details....

Yes, they were pretty cool colors even though they kinda melted away in the heat :) Isabel wants to know if you're going to post any of the wedding. I say definitely post the one of Edwin picking up my dad. that was funny :)

Here's a very looooong overdue post of one of three weddings we shot at the end of last season. There's so many cool images to post from all three that i've decided to divide the posts into several pieces....here's Carlos and Violet, part 1.
