In May of 2008, we photographed the Aguilar wedding and captured some awesome images throughout the day. Some of the images we heard the most raves about were the portraits of Leslie. Yes, yes, she's a purdy girl, but she also had an amazing make-up artist who helped her look stunning for that wonderful day.
Well, a couple of weeks ago, her make-up artist, Robyn, called and asked if I'd be interested in working together and helping her build a portfolio. Her current portfolio is outdated and she felt it was time to put together a new & improved book. I thought it would work out great for her and for us, so we decided to get working on it right away.
Our first model....Dina :)
Oh, just as a side-note, all these images have minimal re-touching, if any at all. In other words, I might have increased the brightness, contrast or density just a bit, but I hardly did any photoshop work to the images. This means that, either Dina has beautiful skin (yes she does) and/or Robyn is a very talented, amazing, skilled make-up artist. I think it's both!
If you need a make-up/hair girl, Robyn is who you need to call. We highly recommend her. She doesn't have a blog (yet), but here is her cell # 951.255.7055.
These first two images are using simple window light.....rawr!!!

These next few are using a simple, two-light set-up. Learn more about great lighting techniques at www.strobist.com
And btw, I DO realize that I married a stunning girl! DIna looks amazing in all of these portraits...

These next were a few frames I took near the end, when Dina was tired and falling asleep on us :)
Thank you so much Robyn, for all your hard work that day. You were nothing short of professional and inspiring! We can't wait to continue creating some great images with you!
