A few weeks ago, I somehow landed on Carrie Sandoval's blog. She lives here in San Diego and her work is amazing! I was fascinated as she posed these tiny little infants is so many unique ways. Dina and I have spoken about trying to shoot more baby sessions, but we had never seen such stunning work with infants until we saw her website and blog. Her work definitely inspired us and we decided we had to at least try to shoot an infant session.
Of course, we never want to "copy" someone else's work, so just kept it simple and asked our good friends David & Maribel if we could use their 3week old Carolina as our first infant model :)
They happily agreed.
Our work is nothing close to the amazing-ness of Carrie Sandoval, but we had a great time and learned soooooo much from this session. Thanks again David & Maribel & Caronlina!!!
On a side note, who says 2 o'clock in the afternoon is a bad time to shoot photos because of the harsh lighting? Well, check out the awesome post.....harsh lighting conditions??....no problem!!

Here's a very looooong overdue post of one of
three weddings we shot at the end of last season. There's so many cool images to
post from all three that i've decided to divide the posts into several
pieces....here's Carlos and Violet, part 1.
I thought I'd post this video I took with my Point-n-Shoot camera when we went to see a flamenco show in Madrid.
We made a mistake and just went to the first flamenco theatre we ran into on our first night there. It was good, but it wasn't "traditional". The main flamenco dude looked more like a hollywood club raver than a flamenco guy. And the bar was rather dark and dingy, needless to say we paid for the "non-dinner" seating. The wine was horrible.
But check out this guy's footwork, oh, and also, the intensity!!
whoa!!! i got tierd just lookin at him.... but..... whats with his hair????LOL

On a side note, I'm still testing out what size I'm going to be posting images on this new blog. Just thought I'd see how this size looks horizontally.
